These were historically high ranking high schools. Houses that feed into these schools are more expensive. Whether they deserve the “prestige” or the extra housing costs is up to you to decide. Regardless of how good the schools are, houses in these districts are in higher demand.

For middle and elementary school, there’s not as strong of a distinction and not as big of an effect on housing cost.
